The first ATP 500 action of the 2025 season took place last week at the Dallas Open and the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. Denis Shapovalov and Carlos Alcaraz emerged victorious at the respective indoor hard-court events.

A former World No. 10, Shapovalov has returned to the Top 40 following his barnstorming run in Dallas. ATPTour.com looks at the movers in the PIF ATP Rankings as of Monday, 10 February.

It All Adds Up

No. 32 Denis Shapovalov, +22
The 25-year-old Shapovalov continued his impressive resurgence with victory at the Dallas Open, which this year was held as an ATP 500 for the first time. The Canadian defeated three Top 10 opponents — Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Casper Ruud — to lift the biggest title of his career. After struggles with injury and form across the past two years, Shapovalov has risen 22 spots to No. 32 as a result of his run. It is his highest position since September 2023.

No. 6 Alex de Minaur, +2 (Joint Career High)
He may have fallen just short of the title for the second consecutive year in Rotterdam, but De Minaur has returned to his career high of No. 6 following his repeat run to the final. The 25-year-old did not drop more than four games in a set across his four victories in the Netherlands, and he pushed eventual champion Alcaraz to three sets in an absorbing championship match.

No. 53 Jaume Munar, +11
Munar reeled off impressive wins against Buyunchaokete, home favourite Ben Shelton and Matteo Arnaldi in Dallas to reach his second ATP 500 semi-final. The Spaniard then served for the match in his semi-final against Ruud before falling to defeat, but he can nonetheless reflect on a productive week in Texas. Munar has jumped 11 spots to No. 53, just one shy of the career high he reached in 2019.

No. 68 Mattia Bellucci, +24 (Career High)
The charismatic Bellucci was the breakout star of the week in Rotterdam, where he delighted fans with his high-quality lefty shotmaking. There was substance to go with the Italian’s style, too: Bellucci stunned former champion Daniil Medvedev for his maiden Top 10 win in the second round, before easing past Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals. Despite last-four defeat to De Minaur, the 23-year-old has risen to a career-high No. 68.

No. 87 Camilo Ugo Carabelli, +6 (Career High)
Just one week after being forced to retire from an ATP Challenger Tour quarter-final in Brazil, Argentine Ugo Carabelli bounced back in style with a hard-earned title on home soil in Rosario. The 25-year-old won all five of his matches in three sets to earn his eighth Challenger Tour crown, and he now sits at a career-high No. 87 in the PIF ATP Rankings.
